Sixteen years on the ground at all Queensland Westfield centres, from Chermside, the largest, to Coomera and Helensvale on the Gold Coast, maintained around trading hours for Scentre Group.

Judged by everyone who walks past.
Shopping centre landscapes are seen by more people than almost any other commercial grounds, and almost none of them think about it. That is the standard: planting that looks deliberate every day, not only on the morning after a service visit.
Across Chermside, Carindale, Mt Gravatt, North Lakes, Coomera and Helensvale, the outdoor landscape covers car park entries and kerbside garden beds, open lawns, dining and play precincts, water features and covered walkways. Each zone has a different job. Entries have to read clearly from a moving car, dining areas have to feel lush without crowding seating, and anything near a walkway has to stay clear of the people using it.
The centres never close, so the work is planned around them. Crews complete the centre’s site induction, work to our safe work method statements, keep paths and entries open while the centre trades, and clear green waste before it becomes a hazard or an eyesore.

Kerbside and entry beds kept full, edged and clear of litter, because they set the first impression before anyone parks.
Precinct & dining gardens
Raised planters and garden beds around outdoor dining, maintained so the planting frames seating rather than crowding it.
Water feature surrounds
Beds around water features pruned and cleared so leaf litter stays out of the water and the feature stays the focus.
Lawns & open space
Mowing, edging and turf care for lawns that take heavy foot traffic from shoppers, families and events.
Pruning & sight-lines
Hedging, shaping and canopy work that keeps signage, cameras and walkways visible and access routes safe.
Bed presentation
Weeding, mulching and replanting cycles that keep tropical beds dense and intentional through the Gold Coast climate.
how it is managed
Measured by the client, not by us.
Scentre Group sets the standard and inspects against it. We attend the centres’ monthly KPI meetings, where results are reviewed and anything that has slipped is raised and fixed. Contracts of this size are periodically re-tendered, and we have been on the ground at Westfield for 16 years. The relationship is kept by results, not assumed.
Advance Plants also looks after the interior plantscapes at the same centres. For centre management that means one accountable business for the greenery inside the mall and out, with the same safety systems, prequalification and point of contact.
The Brisbane centres are covered by our Brisbane team, led by Lance Slingsby, and Coomera and Helensvale by our Gold Coast team, led by Damion Shaw, who has been with Advance for 30 years.
